Consensus-Based Distributed Estimation in the Presence of Heterogeneous, Time-Invariant Delays

چکیده
Classical distributed estimation scenarios typically assume timely and reliable exchanges of information over the sensor network. This letter, in contrast, considers single time-scale via a network subject to transmission time-delays. The proposed discrete-time networked estimator consists two steps: (i) consensus on (delayed) a-priori estimates, (ii) measurement update. sensors only share their estimates with out-neighbors (possibly) time-delayed links. delays are assumed be fixed time, heterogeneous, known. We observability instead local observability, which significantly reduces communication/sensing loads sensors. Using notions augmented matrices Kronecker product, convergence strongly-connected networks is proved for specific upper-bound time-delay.

Entropy-based Consensus for Distributed Data Clustering
The increasingly larger scale of available data and the more restrictive concerns on their privacy are some of the challenging aspects of data mining today. In this paper, Entropy-based Consensus on Cluster Centers (EC3) is introduced for clustering in distributed systems with a consideration for confidentiality of data; i.e. it is the negotiations among local cluster centers that are used in t...
متن کاملNetwork design for distributed consensus estimation over heterogeneous sensor networks
This paper considers distributed estimation over heterogeneous sensor networks. We propose a distributed estimation strategy based on PageRank algorithm, where the link weight depends on the edge estimation covariances. We prove that the proposed estimator obtains better estimates than one typical estimator under identical initial conditions. Motivated by the advantage of the sensors with high ...
متن کاملAdaptive Distributed Consensus Control for a Class of Heterogeneous and Uncertain Nonlinear Multi-Agent Systems
This paper has been devoted to the design of a distributed consensus control for a class of uncertain nonlinear multi-agent systems in the strict-feedback form. The communication between the agents has been described by a directed graph. Radial-basis function neural networks have been used for the approximation of the uncertain and heterogeneous dynamics of the followers as well as the effect o...
متن کاملDynamical Discrete-Time Load Balancing in Distributed Systems in the Presence of Time Delays
The implementation of a load balancing policy on a continuous basis in a delay-limited distributed computing environment may not only drain the computational resources of each computational element (CE), but can also lead to an unnecessary exchange of loads between the CEs. This degrades the system performance, measured by the overall completion time of the total tasks in the system. Thus, for ...
متن کاملAverage Consensus in the Presence of Dynamically Changing Directed Graph Topologies and Time Delays
We have recently proposed a robustified ratio consensus algorithm which achieves asymptotic convergence to the global average in a distributed fashion in static strongly connected digraphs, despite the possible presence of bounded but otherwise arbitrary delays. In this work, we propose a protocol which reaches asymptotic convergence to the global average in a distributed fashion under possible...
